The TRN-series is a submersible self-aspirating aerator designed for aeration and mixing of wastewater. The liquid flow generated by Tsurumi's special semi-open impeller causes negative pressure to form on the backside of the impeller vanes and draw in air from above the water's surface. The aspirated air, mixed with water viciously by mechanical forces inside the impeller and guide vane, transforms into tiny bubbles. Moreover, the mixed flow of air and water is evenly discharged in multiple directions along the circumference. The compounded action of the air lift and convective currents that are generated in the process makes aeration and agitation very efficient and increases the amount of oxygen dissolved in the water.

Switzerland

wastewater treatment aeration

The initial contact between Tsurumi/Pumpen Lechner and the municipal wastewater treatment station Hallau (ARA) in Switzerland was established at IFAT exhibition in 2018. The ARA Hallau is using R&O submersible aerators in their combined flotation and sand removal units and the customer was looking for alternatives to the R&O units as they are not satisfied with the products. One further goal was the decrease of the power uptake of the used units as the R&O products are supplied with 3 kW motors (rated power).

Wastewater on Military Base

The Novo Selo Training Area is a major Bulgarian military training facility established in 1962, presently used by other NATO nations as well. The range has a surface area of 144 km2 (55.6 sq. mi) and is situated 45 km from Bezmer Air Base and 70 km from the port of Burgas in Sliven Province, Bulgaria.

The facility has its designated areas and sectors for tank shooting, and nuclear, biological, and chemical defense and reconnaissance training. The Novo Selo Training Area is highly appreciated by NATO experts and troops and has become the favored site of annual joint US and Bulgarian troops exercises since 2004.

The Novo Selo Training Area is among the joint US-Bulgarian military bases established according to the 2006 Defense Cooperation Agreement between the United States and Bulgaria. The US Army started in late 2008 a 61.15 m USD investment in the development of new housing and other infrastructure for the American troops training at Novo Selo Training Area.

Tsurumi helps animal sanctuary

Gut Aiderbichl (https://www.gut-aiderbichl.com/en/) has been working for animals since 2001 and is an important institution for animal welfare throughout Europe. More than 6,000 rescued animals live on our home farms in 6 European countries by now, rescued from the most diverse situations. Currently, 35 different species of animals live on our farms. The animal keepers care for them 365 days a year. Gut Aiderbichl sees itself as a meeting place for humans and animals.

An artificially created lake serving as a reservoir for fire protection, a biotope, and watering place for animals.Unfortunately, the lake´s design did not consider environmental aspects to keep the water in natural ballance which caused problem.
