The project:
City bypass for federal road B23 - 450m groundwater tank through the Saulgrub upland moor between Saulgrub and Unterammergau.
Executing company:
HOCHTIEF Infrastructure GmbH, Southeast Germany branch
Tsurumi consultants:
Mr. Christian Kulik (External sales force Bavaria)
The problem:
During implementation of the Saulgrub bypass, a 450m seciond of federal road B23 had to be taken through an underpass under the Murnau-Oberammergau railway. The area is permanently underwater, and ground and strata water also entered. Water retention using well pumps is essential.
The solution:
Open water retention using small, single-phase model HS2.75S wastewater pumps, controlled by float switches. Three-phase model KTV2-15 and KTV2-22 wastewater pumps run in 24-hour sip operation.
