The project:
Aeration, biological treatment of processwater for a brewery
Performing company:
Tsurumi Europe GmbH
Project lead at Tsurumi:
Mr. Carsten Bode (Product Manager Aeration Systems)
Mr. Christian Kulik (External Sales Force)
The problem:
In the cylindrical ventilation tank of the sewage treatment system for a brewery, there were problems with the mechanical submerged aerators of a competitor. The power consumption was too high and its tendency to malfunction made effective use of the systems impossible. Failure of the lower sliding ring seals on the two units installed due to direct contact with wastewater regularly led to extensive maintenance work that the customer no longer wanted to bear. At the same time, the installed power was to be reduced.
The solution:
Installation of two 370-TR3 submerged aerators. Due to the "air seal principle" of the Tsurumi TR models, the lower sliding ring seal does not come into contact with the medium during operation, which significantly extends service life.
The total power requirement is 2 x 37 kW. In comparison with the 2 x 55 kW aerators previously installed, a significant reduction in power requirement was achieved.
Installation is reasonably simple, since the air feeds and installation pedestals could be used without changes.
