Eintürnen pumping station of the Bad Wurzach treatment plant
Ernst Mutzel (Field Sales Baden-Württemberg)
The pumping station has always had problems with clogging, and the treatment-plant workers sometimes have to clean the pumps several times a week. Pumps from different manufacturers were tested, but with no improvement in the situation.
Use of a type 100C43.7 cutter pump with a tungsten-carbide blade built into the impeller. This pump shifts large quantities of wastewater and shreds fibrous materials using the built-in cutting mechanism. After ten months, there was not a single case of clogging.
